“Christ caring for people through people”
Stephen Ministers…

…are congregation members who care, really care.

…have received an initial 50 hours of training in topics and skills related to caring ministry.

…are selected, trained, and commissioned by our congregation, and are then linked with the persons to whom they will be ministering in behalf of our congregation

…provide ongoing one-to-one distinctively Christian care, walking along-side, providing support and encouragement to people experiencing a time of life’s normal challenges or crises, including –
• Hospitalized

• Job crisis
• Separated or divorced
• Affected by accident or disaster
• Single parents
• Terminally ill and their families
• Experiencing birth or adoption of a child
• Lonely or discouraged
• New to the church or community
• Disabled and their families
• Elderly
• Bereaved
• Shut-in and homebound
• Spiritual crisis
• …and many more

…receive regular support and supervision for their ministries.

…are not counselors, therapists, or problem-solvers.

…apply caring skills to other important relationships and discover that their whole lives are enriched.
