Worship

Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Our God is an awesome God. We use a variety of styles and special services to create a spirit of joy and thanks for what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. We receive Holy Communion every Sunday at both services. It is a way God tells us, “I love you!” A nursery attendant is available to care for infants and small children.

Learning

Christian education opportunities are available for all ages. Sundays at 10:00 a.m. there is a class with Pastor Nielsen. He has traveled to Israel three times and is knowledgeable about the land of Jesus. He hosts a tour somewhere in the world every year to help people grow as global citizens.

From September through May on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. there are Bethel Bible Adventures for children K-6. Also during these months Confirmation classes are held weekly for 7th and 8th grade students to teach them the basics of the Christian faith.

Fellowship

We enjoy being God’s people. We have coffee fellowship following the 8:30 service, until 10:00 on Sundays and there are a number of groups that meet during the month where people deepen old friendships and make new ones. We welcome newcomers!

Dinner fellowship…Groups of 6 persons who meet together once a month for 3 months at one another’s homes to enjoy a meal and getting to know one another.

Church Socials…Several times a year we have potluck dinners in the church hall. An Easter breakfast and summer church picnic help us celebrate being God’s people.

Christ Care Small Ministry

Bethel hosts 5 Christ Care groups that combine worship, learning, fellowship & service. They are a great way to grow as a person of God and develop meaningful friendships.

Women’s Ministry

Five circle groups of women meet monthly for Bible Study, prayer and fellowship. Special activities for fellowship and service are planned throughout the year. A quilting group meets to make quilts for missions.

Men’s Ministry

The men’s group (M.O.B.-Men of Bethel) meets monthly also for Bible Study, prayer and fellowship. The M.O.B. sponsors special activities, fellowship events and participates in retreats.

Youth

The goal is to create an atmosphere of caring and acceptance for Junior High and High School students at this point of Christian faith development and to present to them the person, work, and teachings of Jesus Christ. This involves social, educational, service and fellowship opportunities including camp and retreats. Occasionally students meet at Pastor Carl’s home for food and fellowship and a movie.

Stephen Ministry

With 50+ hours of instruction people are trained to be caregivers to one person and be a listening ear and a loving heart, helping another through difficult times in life.
